The Yorkshire Indian Society was founded in 1985 by a band of friends of Indian origin who wanted to demonstrate to the wider community that we Indians who had chosen to call Yorkshire as our Home, were a well integrated, peaceful and a valuable part of our new Home, Yorkshire.

Over the years at our Annual Charity Banquet, we have been graced by the High Commissioner of India, eminent persons including Members of Parliament, Team members of Indian Cricket, successful entrepreneurs of Indian origin, dignitaries and distinguished guests.

With passing years and increasing support of guests and sponsors, our charity dinner has become popular with attendance now touching 600.

Our commitment is raising money for charities. All proceeds raised goes towards charity.

We have supported numerous charities, over the years, here in Yorkshire and in India.
